Editing Service
Judith Skillman, M.A., award-winning author
of ten books of poetry, will assist you in finishing your chapbook or
book-length manuscript of poems. She will also offer marketing advice.
To begin the process, send an email to
Judith at: judith.skillman@comcast.net
with the subject of "Editing Service".
She will give you her address and you
can send your manuscript via regular mail or email it in Microsoft Word
format. Please include a title page, a brief
bio and any acknowledgements for individual poems. Judith
will
comment on your manuscript's theme, order of
poems, section breaks, title/title poem. She will also comment on
individual poems.
If there are particular issues you would like to see addressed, please
let her
know when you send the manuscript. Always keep a copy for your own
records; Judith
can not be responsible for the loss or damage of any work.
Fees
- Chapbook (20 – 40 pages including front matter):
$150, payable in halves, $75 when
you send your manuscript; remainder due after comments and
review.
- Full-length (48 – 90 pages): $300; see above
for payment schedule.
- Marketing advice: Add $50 to the above.
The manuscript review fee includes notes
on individual poems, plus overall comments on the manuscript as a
whole. After
mailing your work back to you, Ms. Skillman will be glad to schedule a
personal
conference or phone consultation to go over the revision process and
answer any
questions you may have regarding her comments. |
